This retreat is an opportunity, once a month just before the new moon, to rest, rejuvenate, go inward, be still, and take stock of our lives. Holding companionable silence and moving through material from the Mindful Self-Compassion program, we will retreat in our own home with others from all over the world, also in their own home. We’ll combine sitting, lying, walking and eating practices with gratitude, savoring and self-appreciation. A time to come together and hold sacred space.
Please test the waters by starting a meditation practice before coming to a 3-hour retreat. We need to gradually work up to meditating for this period of time, so please practice with some of the practices on this page as preparation.
The retreat will be held in a video conferencing program called Zoom, where you will be able to see the other participants as well as the teacher. Your teacher is Kristy Arbon, developer of the adaptation of the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program for the online environment, Live Online MSC; Live Online MSC Coordinator for the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion; and certified MSC teacher.
